what we collect

account details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic identifier they return.

profile details you choose: username, display name, bio and avatar.

presence and moments: your here statuses, the photos or videos you attach, a broad area label, and a deliberately coarse map point.

activity needed to run the app: friend requests, pings, together moments, notifications and your settings.

what we never collect

we do not store precise GPS coordinates. locations are reduced to a broad area before anything is saved, and you can switch area labels off entirely.

we do not read your contacts, track you across other apps or sites, or build advertising profiles.

how your data is used

to show your presence to friends you have accepted, deliver pings and notifications you have enabled, and keep the moments you chose to save.

we do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.

who can see what

photos and videos are stored privately and delivered through short-lived links to you and your accepted friends.

your profile is private by default — a private profile shows only avatar, username and bio. if you switch it to public, your shared cards become visible to anyone with your link.

retention

here statuses expire after 60 minutes. media you delete is removed from storage. together moments are kept until you or the other person removes them.

deleting your account removes your profile, statuses, media, moments, notifications, friendships and blocks.

your controls

in settings you can silence notifications and ping sounds, hide yourself from the friend feed, turn off area labels, switch your profile between private and public, and delete your account.

you can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete something specific by contacting us.

service providers

we use hosting, database, storage and email providers to run here. they process data on our instructions only.

children

here. is not intended for anyone under 13.
